Racial quotas

Objective: Promote support for the implementation of affirmative action policies in Postgraduate programs, as well as carry out an evaluation of the execution of their performance at the university, in order to support their improvement in line with UNICAMP's inclusion policy.

Unicamp approves ethnic-racial quotas in postgraduate courses

The measure means the institutionalization of an initiative that first appeared at the University in 2015, when a policy was approved for Postgraduate courses at the IFCH

The percentage allocated to affirmative action policies in this type of access modality must add up to at least 25% of the total number of vacancies made available

The University Council (Consu) of Unicamp took another step this Tuesday (1st) towards consolidating the inclusion policy at the University. Unanimously, the 60 councilors present approved the proposal to implement the ethnic-racial quota system for admission to postgraduate courses.. Read more

The meeting of the GT on Ethnic-Racial Quotas in Postgraduate Studies at Unicamp, held on Wednesday, May 4, at 14 pm, in the “Raízes” Auditorium, featured a presentation by Professor Ana Carolina Venturini, a postdoctoral fellow linked to the International and Interdisciplinary Postdoctoral Program (IPP) of the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap), who detailed her research on affirmative action in postgraduate studies and patterns of institutional change for the members of the GT.
