The Cooperation Projects between Institutions for the Qualification of Higher-Level Professionals (PCI), regulated by CAPES, consist of national and international initiatives designed to enable the implementation of temporary master's (Minter) and doctoral (Dinter) classes. These are conducted by postgraduate programs. stricto sensu Well-established and of high standard, these projects operate through strategic partnerships in which the sponsoring institution delivers classes at the facilities of a host institution. The program's main purpose is to decentralize the training of masters and doctoral students beyond the major centers of education and research, directly contributing to the reduction of regional disparities, the strengthening of new scientific research groups, and the qualification of highly skilled human resources for the job market.
Aligned with this objective, several postgraduate courses at Unicamp have had their proposals approved within the PCI framework, bringing this recognition to the Faculty of Education (FE), the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM), the Faculty of Technology (FT), and the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FEAGRI).
National Partnerships
Within the scope of national partnerships, Unicamp has established cooperation agreements with the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) and the Federal University of Rondonópolis (UFR). With IFSULDEMINAS, the Interinstitutional Doctoral (PCI – Dinter) and Interinstitutional Master's (PCI – Minter) projects linked to the Postgraduate Program in Education were approved, in addition to a second Interinstitutional Master's (PCI – Minter) project focused on the Professional Master's Program in School Education. In partnership with UFR, the university obtained approval for the Interinstitutional Doctoral (PCI – Dinter) project through the Postgraduate Program in Clinical Medicine, an initiative that will expand research and qualification in the health field in the Central-West region of the country.
International Partnerships
Beyond the national context, the approvals also strengthened Unicamp's internationalization networks with important collaborations in Latin America and the African continent. Among the highlights is the approval of the PCI – Minter International project, coordinated by the Postgraduate Program in Technology in partnership with... José María Arguedas National University (UNAJMA), in Peru, and the PCI – International Dinter project, led by the Postgraduate Program in Agricultural Engineering in cooperation with Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), in Mozambique, fostering shared agricultural and technological development. These results consolidate Unicamp's institutional commitment to acting as a promoter of excellence, sharing its scientific potential to reduce regional asymmetries and build bridges of knowledge that transcend national borders.
