The Office of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies (PRPG) invites the Unicamp academic community to the lecture “Research Ethics Committee: history and current challenges”. The meeting aims to promote an in-depth discussion on the regulations governing scientific integrity in Brazil and worldwide.
The event will be led by Professor Dr. Larissa Rodrigues, vice-coordinator of the CEP/UNICAMP, a professor with extensive experience in national and international research committees, directly involved in the ethical and methodological advancement of highly complex studies. A professor at the Faculty of Nursing (FEnf/Unicamp) and vice-coordinator of the Research Ethics Committee of Unicamp (CEP/Unicamp), she has a solid academic career that includes a doctorate and post-doctorate in Health Sciences from Unicamp, with a period of sandwich research at the University of Évora (Portugal).
Ethical conduct guided by the CEP/Unicamp guidelines is the foundation for the legitimacy and the premise for the development of research projects at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Unicamp. In addition to disseminating and debating the evolution and principles governing the committee, the event also seeks to increase the potential for international insertion of research projects, strengthening Unicamp's scientific credibility globally.
