We invite the Unicamp graduate community to participate in the Seminar on Affirmative Action in Graduate Studies. The event aims to create an institutional space for qualified debate on affirmative action in graduate studies, with the participation of experts, in order to support and guide the evaluation process of the policy implemented at Unicamp, contributing to its improvement and consolidation. The participation of the graduate community is fundamental for strengthening and improving affirmative action policies at our institution.

Professor Dr. Debora Jeffrey – She is the current Director of the Faculty of Education (FE) at Unicamp (2024-2028 term). A Full Professor at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in the Department of Educational Policies, Administration and Systems (DEPASE), she holds a doctorate in Education from USP. She has extensive experience in the area of Public Policies and Education Management, working mainly on topics such as basic and higher education assessment, educational planning, and democratic management.
Professor Dr. Márcia Lima – Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH-USP) and senior researcher at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP). Secretary of Affirmative Action Policies and Combating and Overcoming Racism at the Ministry of Racial Equality. Holds a doctorate in Sociology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and completed postdoctoral studies at Columbia University. She is a leading figure in studies on racial inequalities, working primarily on the topics of the labor market, affirmative action, and public policies.
Prof. Dr. Rodrigo Ednilson de Jesus – He was Pro-Rector of Student Affairs (PRAE) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education (FaE/UFMG). He holds a PhD in Education from UFMG and has coordinated heteroidentification panels at the university since 2019. He has extensive research and professional experience in the field of Sociology of Education, with an emphasis on ethnic-racial relations, youth, identities, and public policies of inclusion in higher education. He is an active member of the Brazilian Association of Black Researchers (ABPN).
