Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics and Genomic Medicine (formerly Department of Medical Genetics) at the School of Medical Sciences of Unicamp (FCM-Unicamp) since 2010. She obtained the title of Full Professor in 2022. While still at FCM-Unicamp, she completed her Post-doctorate in Neurogenetics (2006-2009), at the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of the Department of Medical Genetics, and obtained her PhD in Medical Pathophysiology in 2006. She obtained her Master's degree in Functional and Molecular Biology in 2002 from the Institute of Biology of Unicamp. She has a degree in Physiotherapy from PUC-Campinas (1988).

Within the scope of Unicamp's Senior Administration, he performs the function of Vice-Rector for Graduate Affairs in the Management that began in May 2025 with a term until April 2029. She was a Teaching Advisor to the Pro-Rectory of Graduate Studies, Unicamp from May 2023 to April 2025. She is a member of the Center for Affirmative Actions in Graduate Studies, which aims to promote support for the implementation of affirmative policies in Graduate programs, as well as to evaluate their implementation within the University. She coordinates the Higher Education Extension Program in Graduate Studies (PROEXT-PG) of CAPES at Unicamp, whose objective is to strengthen the training of graduate students and expand the social impact of research developed at the University. She was Coordinator of the General Graduate Commission (CPG) - FCM, composed of 15 Graduate Programs in 06 different areas of CAPES, in addition to the Medical Residency and Multiprofessional Residency (2018 to April 2023). As part of the coordination of CPG-FCM, she also coordinated the Medical Researcher Program (MD/PhD) which aims to integrate postgraduate training for undergraduate medical students. Her experience in Postgraduate studies dates back to her first year of teaching (2010), when she served as a member of the Postgraduate Committee of the Medical Sciences Program, FCM. She was elected coordinator of this same Program on two occasions, 2017-2018 and 2021-2023.

She holds a degree in Social Sciences (1980), a Master's degree in Political Science (1987) and a PhD in Social Sciences from Unicamp (1996). She has been a professor at the Department of Political Science at the IFCH since 1986, completed her Habilitation in 2005 and is a Full Professor since 2013 in the area of ​​Theory of Political Parties.

She is a CNPq researcher 1, received the national award granted in 1988 by ANPOCS – National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Social Sciences, received two international awards in the area of ​​studies in public opinion conferred by WAPOR – World Association for Public Opinion Research (1992 and 2005), and in 2018 he received a tribute from ANPOCS (National Association for Research in Social Sciences) for his academic work and work.

He was a member of the CAPES Evaluation Committee in the area of ​​Political Science and International Relations (2005-2007; 2008-2010), a member of the CNPq Advisory Committee for the area of ​​Political Science and International Relations (2011-2014; 2017-2020), as well as a member of the Board of Directors of ABCP – Brazilian Association of Political Science (2004-2006, 2006-2008 and 2012-2014), of the Board of Directors of ALACIP – Latin American Association of Political Science (2006-2008, 2008-2010) and, currently, a member of the Academic Committee of ANPOCS – National Association of Research and Postgraduate Studies in Social Sciences (2021-2023).

He holds a degree in Statistics from the State University of Campinas (1985), a Master's degree in Mathematics from the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics Association (1988) and a PhD in Statistics - University of wisconsin – Madison (1993).

Since 1987, he has been a professor at the Department of Statistics at the State University of Campinas, being a full professor (MS-6) since 2002. He has experience in the area of ​​Probability and Statistics, with emphasis on Spatial Stochastic Processes, working mainly on the following topics: punctual processes, perfect simulation , long memory chains, percolation and inference for stochastic processes. She was treasurer and twice vice-president of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics, member of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and Publisher of Theory and Methods of the BJPS. She was coordinator of the area of ​​Mathematics / Probability and Statistics at CAPES in the period 2011-2014 and member of the CA of Mathematics / Probability and Statistics at CNPq.

It was Editor in Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Probability and Statistics in the biennium 2013/2014. Within the scope of administrative functions at UNICAMP, she was President of the Permanent Commission for Full Dedication to Teaching and Research - CPDI from August/2013 to July/2015 and Pro-Dean of Graduate Studies from September/2018 to April/ 2021.

She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Mathematical Society, a member of the Mathematics CA at FAPESP and coordinator of the Mathematics/Probability and Statistics area at CAPES.

Completed a doctorate in Economic Sciences – University of Paris I (Pantheon-Sorbonne) in 1983. He is currently Full Professor at the Department of Scientific and Technological Policy at the Institute of Geosciences at the State University of Campinas. He has published 91 articles in specialized journals and 119 works in annals of events. He has 34 book chapters and 3 published books. He supervised 28 master's dissertations and 18 doctoral theses in the area of ​​Science and Technology Policy, Energy Planning and Geography. He has received 2 awards and/or honors. He works in the area of ​​innovation studies, with an emphasis on energy, indicators and innovation policies.

Campinas (1982), with a postdoctoral degree at the University of California – Berkeley, at Stanford University and at the University of Oxford.

She is currently a Collaborating Researcher at the Center for Logic, Epistemology and History of Science and Collaborating Full Professor in Logic and Fundamentals of Mathematics at the Department of Philosophy at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Ad hoc adviser to several teaching and research institutions in Brazil and abroad. Consultant, Reviewer and member of the editorial boards of journals with international circulation, in Brazil and abroad. Member of scientific committees and coordinator of several Brazilian and international events. Founding member of the Center for Logic, Epistemology and History of Science (CLE) at Unicamp and the Brazilian Society of Logic (SBL). Director of CLE for four terms (1986-1993; 2004-2009); President of the SBL for four terms (1994-2003; 2011-2014); President of Latin-American Committee on Logic of the Association for Symbolic Logic for two terms (1993-1999); Coordinator of the Coordination of Interdisciplinary Research Centers and Nuclei (COCEN) at Unicamp, for two terms (1998-2002; 2009-2013).

Member of several scientific societies. Invited professor at several universities in Brazil, America and Europe, plenary lecturer at several international events. Creator and editor of Coleção CLE, a collection of books in the areas of logic, epistemology and history of science, with almost 100 published volumes. His areas of expertise are logic and foundations of mathematics, history and philosophy of logic and science, algebra of logic, non-classical logic, universal logic, consistent logic, self-organization and systemic theory. She was Pro-Dean of Graduate Studies (PRPG) at Unicamp (2013-2014).

Among several honors received, in 2014 she was awarded the Estágira Medal Aristotle Prize, a distinction awarded by the Academy of Sciences and Humanities of the Instituto de Estudios Superiores Estágira of Mexico to Mexican and foreign researchers who have carried out research or teaching work for the benefit of of our society, and the Brazilian Society of Logic created the “Itala Maria Loffredo D'Ottaviano Conference”, as a special section to be held in the Brazilian Meetings of Logic. She is an elected member of International Academy of Philosophy of Sciences (AIPS) and elected member of the International Institute of Philosophy (IIP).

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UFPr (1978), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Unicamp (1981) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Engineering) at the University of Hannover, Germany, where he was a DAAD scholar (Deutscher Akademischer AustauschDienst). He carried out postdoctoral internships at the Teaching for Angewandte Mechanik from the University of Braunschweig in (1992) and (2005).

Since 2005, he has been a professor at the Department of Computational Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Unicamp. His activities at Unicamp included head of the department (1991-1992) and (1994-1996), adviser to the Dean of Research (1996-1998), coordination of the Graduate Commission of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Unicamp ( 2001-2002). He was Pro-Rector of Postgraduate Studies at Unicamp under the management of Professor Fernando Costa (2009-2013).

He has been a researcher and CNPq productivity fellow since 1990. Together with Capes he was a member of the commission that prepared the National Postgraduate Plan PNPG (2011-2020), he was a member of the Special Commission for System Analysis and Quality Assessment Process Graduated in Brazil between (2015-2016), he was a member of the Special Advisory Group (GAE) with the Directorate of International Relations at Capes, between 2015 and 2019. From the research point of view, he has experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on Mechanics of Solids, working mainly on topics such as Dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction, Boundary Element Method, Dynamics of Structures and Foundations and Synthesis of Green Functions. In recent years he has been developing research work on the simulation of mechanical properties of micro and nanostructures.

Throughout his career he interacted with several researchers abroad, including Heinz Antes do IAM from Braunschweig-Germany, Raimondo Betti from Columbia University-USA and Nimalsiri Rajapakse from Simon-Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. With Professor Rajapakse she received a PVE Capes fellowship between 2014 and 2018, which has provided extensive collaboration, measured in joint articles, doctoral and postdoctoral co-supervisions. He is principal investigator at CCES (Center for Computing in Engineering and Sciences), funded by FAPESP and coordinated by Prof. Munir Skaf. Received the Academic Recognition Award “Zeferino Vaz” from Unicamp in 2016.

Graduated in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (1973), master's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1977) and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1981). He received the title of Honorary Professor of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in 2007.

He is currently a professor at the State University of Campinas. He held the position of Pro-Rector of Graduate Studies at Unicamp between 2005 and 2009 and Pro-Rector of University Development between 2013 and 2016.

She is a reviewer for several relevant journals in the field of polymers, photochemistry and organic electronics. She was a pioneer in the implementation of the field of studies on photoluminescent polymers in Brazil, which has allowed her to collaborate with various groups in Brazil and abroad.

Has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis on Spectroscopy and Electroluminescent Materials, working mainly on the following topics: polymers, photochemistry, photophysics, organic semiconductor materials and electroluminescent devices. She held relevant positions in Unicamp's administration, such as: Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry, Pro-Rector of Graduate Studies at Unicamp, Pro-Rector of University Development at Unicamp and General Coordinator of University/Vice-Rector of Unicamp.

The experience in these activities resulted in deepening in the areas of Institutional Evaluation, Strategic Planning in university institutions, strategic management in universities and public management, with academic production resulting from it. Since 2013, it has been part of Council for Evaluation and International Accreditation of the Union of Universities of Latin American America and the Caribbean, CEAI/UDUAL, where he serves on the board and also as an evaluator.

Professor Doctor Daniel Joseph Hogan

Graduated in Letters – Le Moyne College, Syracuse (1964), with a master's degree in Sociology of Development – Cornell University (1968) and PhD in Sociology and Demography – Cornell University (1974). He is currently a full professor at the State University of Campinas, where he is Professor of Demography and researcher at the Centers for Population Studies (Nepo) and Environmental Studies and Research (Nepam).

He teaches postgraduate courses in Demography, Environment and Society and Geography. His research activities focus on the relationships between demographic dynamics and environmental change, while also studying the human dimensions of global environmental change.

Prof. Dr. Jose Claudio Geromel

He graduated as an Electrical Engineer, specializing in Automation, and concluded his master's program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Unicamp in 1975 and 1976, respectively. He obtained the title of Docteur d'État in 1979 at LAAS/CNRS – France. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 1987 at the Faculty of Electrical and Computing Engineering at Unicamp and has been a full professor at that institution since 1990. In 1991 he reached the maximum level 1-A as a researcher at CNPq – National Council for Scientific and Technological Development.

He supervised several research works through master's, doctoral and postdoctoral programs. His advisees are currently professors at Unicamp, UFSC, EPUSP, ITA, UCSD (USA) or work in the private sector. He worked as a guest researcher at several scientific institutions in Brazil and abroad, highlighting his stay, during 1987, as a guest professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan - Italy.

He has published more than 300 scientific articles, 130 of which in the most prestigious international journals in his area of ​​expertise. In 1997 he published by Academic Press, together with colleagues P. Colaneri and A. Locatelli from the Polytechnic Institute of Milan, the book Control Theory and Design: An RH2 – Rhoo viewpoint. In 2004, 2011 and 2019 he published, respectively, by Edgard Blucher, together with AGB Palhares, the book Linear Analysis of Dynamic Systems, together with RH Korogui, the book Linear Control of Dynamic Systems and, together with GS Deaecto, the book Linear Signal Analysis.

He is a referee of several international scientific publications, was a member of the Editorial Board do International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, editor of Controle & Automação magazine and associate editor of European Journal of Control and Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems.

In 1994 and, in 2014, he received the Zeferino Vaz award, granted by the University Council of Unicamp for having distinguished himself in teaching and research activities at that university. In 1998 he was coordinator of the Advisory Committee for Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at CNPq and, as of May of the same year, he became Pro-Rector of Graduate Studies at Unicamp, a position he held until April 2002. In 1998 he was elected full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. In 1999 he was named Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Academiques by the Minister of National Education of France. From 2002 to 2005 she was a member of IFAC Council. In 2007 he received the Scopus award, granted by Elsevier and Capes. In 2010 she received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France and was named Commander of the National Order of Scientific Merit by the Presidency of the Republic of Brazil. In 2001 he became IEEE Control Systems Society Distinguished Lecturer. In 2018 he was promoted to the highest grade Grand Cross of the Brazilian National Order of Scientific Merit.

Graduated in Biological Sciences from USP (1976), master's degree in Plant Biology from Unicamp (1979), PhD in Plant Ecophysiology from Botany Department - University of St Andrews, Scotland/GB (1982), Postdoc by University of Bern, Switzerland (1994).

He works in the areas of Plant Ecophysiology and Biodiversity Conservation, having published 112 works in specialized journals, in addition to training 26 masters and 15 doctors. He edited 12 books, with emphasis on the Biodiversity of the State of São Paulo series: synthesis of knowledge at the end of the XNUMXth century, the atlas Forest inventory of native vegetation in the State of São Paulo and the book Guidelines for the Conservation and Restoration of the State's Biodiversity from Sao Paulo.

He is currently Professor Emeritus at Unicamp, retired from the Department of Plant Biology at IB/Unicamp, Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, of the Academy of Sciences of the State of São Paulo, of the Task Force in Capacity Building of the IPBES, of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), chair of the BIOTA/FAPESP Program and the Brazilian Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services/BPBES, and Chief Editor of Biota Neotropica.

At Unicamp, he was Coordinator of 3 Graduate Programs (Ecology, Plant Biology and Environment and Society), Head of the Department of Plant Biology (87/89 and 06/10) and Dean of Graduate Studies (96/98) . At the State Secretariat for the Environment he was Coordinator of Technical Information, Documentation and Environmental Research / CINP (95) and at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation he was Director of the Department of Policies and Thematic Programs / DEPPT (11/12). At the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) he was co-chair of the Multidisciplinary Panel of Experts (MEP).

In 1999, as Coordinator of the BIOTA/FAPESP Program, he won the Henry Ford Award for Initiative of the Year in the Area of ​​Conservation. In August 2002 he was awarded the Order of Scientific Merit, Commander class, in 2005 he won the von Martius Environmental Prize from the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in 2007 he received the Honorable Mention of the CNPq Young Scientist Prize. In 2009, as Coordinator of the BIOTA / FAPESP Program, he again won the Henry Ford Prize, this time in the Science and Human Resources Training category. In 2012 he received the Muriqui Award from the Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve, in 2014 the João Pedro Cardoso Medal from the Government of the State of São Paulo, the Zeferino Vaz Academic Recognition Award from UNICAMP. and the Conrado Wessel Science Foundation Foundation Award 2022.

Botanist and agronomist Hermógenes de Freitas Leitão Filho (1944-1996) was born in Campinas and graduated in 1966 from Escola Superior Luiz de Queiroz (ESALQ/USP), in Piracicaba. He was hired as a professor in the Department of Botany at the Institute of Biology at Unicamp in 1974. Author of a vast work on botany, he focused on taxonomy research, that is, classification and identification of plants, which led him to various research projects in areas such as agronomy, urban afforestation and phytochemistry. One of them, a complete survey of all the flora in the state of São Paulo, was carried out in partnership between USP, Unesp, the Botanical Institute, the Forestry Institute and the Agronomic Institute, bringing together more than one hundred specialists from Brazil and abroad. The “Phanerogamic Flora Project”, conceived by Hermógenes, created a database with 7500 species, based on scientific expeditions and visits to herbaria. Considered a reference in botany and naturalism in the country, he signed scientific publications as well as educational publications used in classrooms, such as the series “Invasive Plants of Culture in the State of São Paulo” (1972). 

At Unicamp, Hermógenes coordinated the postgraduate course in Plant Biology and founded and coordinated the institution's Ecological Park, planting trees on part of the Campinas campus with various native species. In addition to teaching and research activities, he assumed the position of Dean of Graduate Studies in 1994, a position he would hold for four years. However, he died in 1996 during fieldwork in the Campinas region.

Graduated in Bachelor and Degree in Neo-Latin Letters from the State University of Londrina (1963) and Ph.D. in Education from the State University of Campinas (1975). He was director of the Faculty of Education (1987 to 1990) and Pro-Rector of Graduate Studies at Unicamp (1990 to 1994). After his PhD, he attended seminars and attended conferences at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and at the École Normale Superieure of Paris between 1977 and 1979.

Participated in UNESCO activities, especially with GUNI (Global University Network for Innovation and to IESALC (Institute of Higher Education for Latin America and the Caribbean), having presented seminars and published texts, two of them representing Latin America and the Caribbean in international UNESCO Congresses.

He has more than a hundred texts published in Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and one in Mandarin, accounting for a total of 83 as author of a complete book and author of book chapters published in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, France, Mexico, Venezuela , Colombia, Argentina, United States and England, 44 as author of articles in scientific journals in several countries (Brazil, Portugal, Uruguay, Mexico), organizer and preface of books published in Brazil, Portugal and Mexico, and editor of 65 editions of Review magazine. Co-Founder and President of RAIES (1986 to 2017).

He gave conferences and lectures in 11 Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries. He chaired the CEA (Special Commission for the Evaluation of the MEC) which prepared the original SINAES proposal. He has experience in the area of ​​Education, with an emphasis on Higher Education, working mainly on the following topics: higher education, institutional evaluation and public policies for higher education.

Professor Emeritus at Unicamp, the university where he created, in 1963, the Department of Medical Genetics and of which he was the first Dean of Graduate Studies. PhD from USP, he is also Full Professor of Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto at USP, Retired Full Professor of Medical Genetics at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Unicamp, Visiting Professor at the Graduate Program in Biology of the host-pathogen relationship of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at USP and Member of the Board of the Institute of Teaching and Research at Hospital Albert Einstein.

He taught Disciplines in Graduate courses at several universities (Unicamp, USP, UFPR, PUCCAMP, UFRGS, and UFPE) and was a professor and organizer of the Discipline of Human and Medical Genetics at several universities (Unicamp, PUCCAMP, Fundação Universitária do ABC, among others).

For twenty years (1972-1992) he was an Advisor (Adviser) of the World Health Organization, having provided consultancy to that institution in Geneva, Switzerland, and a member of the reviewers body of the international nomenclature of diseases of CIOMS (Council for International Organization of Medical Sciences).

He is Researcher 1-A of the CNPq and belonged to the Advisory Committee on Genetics and the Advisory Commission of the Integrated Program of Genetics, Titular Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and of the Academy of Sciences of the State of São Paulo. He received Commendation from the National Order of Scientific Merit and the honor of the 51st National Congress of the Brazilian Society of Genetics. He received a medal from the CNPq, tributes and silver plaques from Unicamp and a bronze plaque at the HC of that university, and tributes from scientific or class magazines. He was President of the Brazilian Society of Genetics (1970-1972) and of the Latin American Association of Genetics (1970-1972), of which he was also Vice-President in two terms (1985-1987; 1987-1989), Counselor of these societies and several times elected Director of the SBPC.

He is a Titular-Founding Member of several institutions (College of Hansenology of the Endemic Countries, International Association of Human Biologists, of which he was for several years Counselor representing South America and the Caribbean, Latin American Association of Genetics and Brazilian Society of History of Science) and Titular or Corresponding Member of others. He belongs or belonged to the Scientific Council of several journals with an editorial board and participated in scientific juries for awarding prizes. He has given free scientific advice to several research promotion institutions.

It has 451 publications including books, theses, book chapters (25), publications in magazines with editorial selection (171) and scientific communications in congresses (192 national and 63 international). He has provided direct scientific guidance to around 70 researchers, many of whom have already reached the highest levels of academic careers. He participated in 144 congresses (national and international), having been the organizer of some international ones. He gave 269 lectures at numerous research and teaching institutions, and participated in 264 examining boards in academic competitions (master's, doctorate, associate professor, associate professor and full professor) and scientific juries.

Among his lines of research, his pioneering works on resistance and hereditary susceptibility to leprosy (leprosy), his research on anthropological genetics, the series of works on the epidemiology of twins, which brought important information on the biology of human reproduction and , more recently, work on the genetic epidemiology of common transmissible diseases in the Amazon.
