From June26th – July 2nd, 2021, Merck KGaA,Darmstadt, Germany, a vibrant science & technology company will behosting the 11th edition of the Merck Innovation Cup (http://innovationcup.merckgroup.com)(http://innovationcup.emdgroup.com).
In case thepandemic situation would not allow in-person meetings, the event would takeplace online.

If you are apost graduate student with an interest in the pharmaceutical, chemical ordigital industry, the Merck Innovation Cup is your chance to gain in-depthknowledge about research and development, to network with top students fromaround the world and to build a business case together with experiencedprofessionals. Selected top performing participants could get an offer for apermanent employment at Merck.
- Whocan apply:
- Advanced students and post docs inthe fields of life science, material science, data science and businessadministration from all over the world can apply:
- Sciences: Postdocsand post-graduate students on their way towards a PhD in biology, chemistry, physics,medicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, computer sciences, data sciences,informatics, biochemistry, pharmacy, engineering or related fields.
- Business: Advanced MBA students orrecent MBA graduates with an interest in the pharmaceutical, chemical ordigital business and a background in natural sciences are also eligible.
- Not open to healthcare professionals.
- The Innovation Cup will comprise thefollowing team topics: oncology, immuno-oncology, autoimmunity, drug discoverytechnologies, digitalization, pandemic threat.
- The participating teams have thechance to win the Innovation Cup award endowed with EUR 20,000 for the mostconvincing project plan, plus EUR 5,000 for the runner-up.
- Most convincing project plans mightpotentially be implemented and top performing participants be offered apermanent position at Merck.
- All travel, food and accommodationexpenses are paid by Merck.
