The PED is an institutional program at Unicamp that makes it possible to improve the training of postgraduate students for internships in teaching experience or in support of teaching activities.
It is regulated by Resolution GR-071/2020, of 22/06/2020, which meets the mandatory teaching experience for CAPES Social Demand scholarship holders.
CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel) establishes through Ordinance No. 76 of 14/04/2010, in its Article 18, that the teaching internship is an integral part of the graduate student's training, aiming at preparing for the teaching and the qualification of undergraduate teaching, being mandatory for all scholarship holders of the Social Demand Program.
The internship is semester and can be paid or voluntary.
A brief history
The Teaching Internship Program was instituted at Unicamp in 1992 through the Ordinance GR-092/1992 and underwent several adaptations and regulations over the years. As of 2022, the program has been regulated by the Resolution GR-071/2020, Resolution GR-048/2022, and Resolution GR-046/2023.
Currently, 24 Teaching Units at Unicamp are covered by the program, in addition to INOVA (Innovation Agency) and CEL (Language Teaching Center). Some ProFIS disciplines offered at Unicamp's different Teaching Units are also supported by the PED.
Stock Exchange Values
The values of the scholarships for the development of the activities foreseen in the PED program are defined according to the value of the FAPESP master's scholarship I, as established by Resolution GR-071/2020 e Resolution GR-048/2022.
50% of the value of the FAPESP Master's Scholarship I, considering the values in force in the year prior to the first payment of the same
30% of the value of the FAPESP master's scholarship I, considering the amounts in force in the year before the first payment of the same
Criteria for defining the granting of PED resources
In 2018, the PED Coordinating Committee prepared the criteria that define the amount of resources available for each Teaching and Research Unit to grant financial aid. These criteria, presented and approved at the 355th CCPG meeting on 08/08/2018, have been applied since 2019:
Teaching Load = CD
Graduate Program Grade at CAPES = Grade_PG
Number of graduate students = Students_PG
Number of enrollments in Graduation by subject = Graduation
Final Weight = Current (Weight1 + Weight2) + Weight 3 + Weight 4
| Weight 1 | Weight 2 | |
|---|---|---|
| 0,5 if DC ≤ 11,07 | 0,5 if Grade_PG ≤5,27 | |
| 1,0 if 11,07 < CD < 14,17 | 1,0 if 5,27 < Grade_PG < 6 | |
| 1,5 if 14,17 ≤ CD | 1,5 if 6 ≤ Grade_PG |
| Weight 3 | Weight 4 | |
|---|---|---|
| 0,125 if Students_PG ≤509,54 | 0,125 if Grad ≤3920,87 | |
| 0,25 if 509,54 < Students_PG < 833,95 | 0,25 s and 3920,87 < Grad < 6669,87 | |
| 0,375 if 833,95 ≤ Students_PG | 0,375 if 6669,87 ≤ Grad |
495,79 = Average Students_PG
833,95 = Average + 1DP PG Students
3920,87 = Average Grade
6669,87 = Average + 1Dp Grad
